Sting 'LIVE' in Singapore...

It maybe a rainy Thursday night, but that didn't dampen the spirits of  thousands of fans at Sting's 'Back To Bass' World Tour concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The man himself appeared at 8.30 pm sharp and clad in a simple grey shirt and jeans, he opened the stage with crowd favourite 'If I Ever Lose My Faith In You'.

Backed by an impressive five-piece band, Sting's legendary bass skills and rich vocals quickly got his fans to jump (yes, jump!) and sway wildly in their seats. All the ladies were soon swooning over the 61-year-old Sting (Dude didn't look a day over 30) as he belted out 'Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic' next.

That track was later followed up by 'Englishman In New York', and the atmosphere got really heated with everyone chorusing and clapping to the song.

After delivering stellar performances of his self-penned slowies 'Seven Days' and 'I Hung My Head', Sting made the crowd go hysterical again with just a “How you all doing?”.

He also showed off his softer side when he picked up a toy fox and played with it, teasing ''This is a song about Mr. and Mrs. Fox. It's a song about their life, love and death.''

Everyone instantly knew he was referring to 'End Of The Game'. A dozen songs later and Sting was completely tireless and buoyant. Old school still rules.

Formerly The Police's frontman, it was inevitable that Sting came up with his versions of the band's songs, like 'Wrapped Around Your Finger' and 'De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da'. These songs were equally power packed with collective claps and voices resonating throughout the entire stadium.

Of course, Sting didn't miss out on the one epic anthem from The Police - 'Every Breath You Take'. Like everyone one, I was extremely ecstatic to hear it, and truth be told, it was the one that stole the show.

Halfway through another Police track 'Next To You', someone wearing a giant bear head ran onto the stage and danced!

Sting closed the show with a heartwarming 'Fragile' and an amazing vocal solo at the end (Seriously!!! How does he do it?!) It was such a defining moment between Singapore and Sting. I think we've all made him very proud.
